Ledger
Practice management

Every engagement in your firm, in one place.

The pipeline follows each engagement from the documents received to filing. Deadlines calculate themselves, recurring work is created on time, and everyone sees what they have to do this week. The pipeline is included in both plans.

One pipeline per type of engagement

Start from a template, then rename everything as you like. Financial statements and T2/CO-17: To do, Documents received, In preparation, To review, To file, Filed. Sales taxes: the due date follows the client's filing frequency. Or a blank board for your own stages. Each pipeline reads as columns, a list, a calendar or by due date. A finished card archives itself five days after reaching the last stage.

Deadlines calculate themselves

Enter the fiscal year-end and Ledger does the rest. T2 and CO-17 to file six months later. The federal tax balance three months later for an eligible CCPC, two months otherwise; the Quebec balance, always two months. Alberta's AT1. Sales taxes by the client's frequency: annual, quarterly or monthly.

Recurring work is created on time

A quarterly sales tax return, financial statements every year: you set the recurrence once per client, and the next card is created in advance with the right reference date. No one has to remember to recreate it.

Team workload, week by week

Each stage can carry its tasks, with an hour budget. The Workload view shows each member's work, week by week, across all pipelines: you see who is overloaded before it happens. Each file has its responsible partner, accountant and signer, and everyone finds their files on their dashboard.

Stages that work for you

When a card enters a stage, Ledger can assign the owner, add a tag, create the tasks, prepare the email to the client or open the invoice. It can also offer to send the document request through the portal: nothing goes out without your click. In the card, Where the file stands reads the progress of the file itself, with nothing to enter.

The thread of each engagement

Each card keeps its log: what was done, sent, received. Mention a colleague with @ to notify them. Move, assign or tag several cards at once.

Frequently asked questions

Is the pipeline included in the price?

Yes. It is included in the Standard and Premium plans.

Can I create my own stages?

Yes. Templates are starting points: rename columns, add or remove them, or start from a blank board.

Which deadlines are calculated?

T2, CO-17 and AT1 filing, the federal, Quebec and Alberta tax balances, and annual, quarterly or monthly sales tax returns.

Does the pipeline replace a CRM?

For tracking your clients and engagements, it does the job: the client profile, pipeline, communications and invoices are in one place.

How does each member know what to do?

Through their dashboard, which shows their files as partner, accountant or signer and their tasks, and through the pipeline's Workload view, which shows their hours for the week.
